Jesus, Marriage & Divorce 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, 10-24, 39-40
The apostle Paul is still addressing the same problems that the Corinthians had with sex and marriage being “unspiritual”, and believing perhaps that they should leave their marriages in order to be spiritual. But Paul embraces marriage and lifts it up the same way as Jesus. Paul shows that this is teaching from Jesus (v.10 [...]

Brighton & Hove is famous...

Business-like yet bohemian;

academic yet accessible;

energetic yet easygoing;

elegant yet indulgent;

streetwise yet ‘spiritual’…

… the Alternative City.

An ancient city, much the same as Brighton, was visited by one of history’s revolutionaries – the apostle Paul. The church he began there, however, was an even more ‘alternative’ group of people – their lives now based on a crucified hero: Jesus.

Later, after years of suffering and miracles, Paul wrote a letter to that church. His goal: to point again to Jesus as the reason for life and hope – and to teach them how to live true to him – as an Alternative City.

We’ll be looking at this letter in our CCK Sunday services during this autumn.

To accomodate the growth in numbers, we now have 3 Sunday meetings:

9.15am; 11.30am & 6.30pm

Catch one of our free buses coming all the way in from Southwick and Sussex University, or only 5 mins walk from Brighton train station.
